was born in Bindawa Mani in Kaduna State on 1st December, 1934. Born by moslem parents, Mallam Usman Bello and Mallami Zulai Bello. Hon. Yusufu Bindawa received the parental care and impetus necessaryfor his educational ambition. He therefore started his education in earnest in 1943 by entering the Bindawa Elementary School from where he passed out in 1947. In the same year, he was admitted to the Katsina Middle School and successfully competed his studies in 1952. A year later, Alhaji Yusuf Bin dawa took another step forward when he entered the School of Agriculture, Samaru, Zaria where he graduated in 1955. With tins background, Alhaji Yusufu started Off his career as an Agricultural Assistant in 1955. By virtue of his professional training, his operational activities were mainly in the field in areas of agricultural extension services. With the advent of partisan politics in 1979 after thirteen years of military interregnum, Alhaji Yusufu deeided to take active' part in political activities. This ambition materialised when he was elected on the platform of the N.P.N, into the House of Representatives in 1979. Alhaji Yusufu represents Bindawa Consti tuency of Kaduna State. Alhaji Yusufu Bindawa married Binta and Rabi in 1954 and 1962 respectively. The mar riages are blessed with five children. His hob bies include football and hockey.
