The same year, Mr. Wachukwu was admitted into New Bethel College, Onitsha. He suc cessfully obtained the Cambridge School Cer tificate at the end of his course in 1953. He served his company with devotion and dedication to duty until he resigned to begin a new career in politics. His inborn interest in politics culminated in his chairmanship of the Ukwa Local Govern ment Council of Imo State, a post he devotedly held until 1979 when he resigned for active politics. Hon.
