RINGIM, Hon. Rabin Shuaibu

Honourable Rabin Shuaibu Ringim who represents Ringim Contituency in Kano State in the House of Representatives was born on 5th June, 1954 at Ringim, in Kano State. He is a member of the Peoples' Redemption Party. Honourable Ringim is one of the 25 children of Alhaji Shuaibu, a businessman in Ringim. He is a muslim. Honourable Ringim started his education at Katutu Primary School, Ringim from 1961 to 1967. He went to the Govern ment College, Kano from 1968 to 1972 where he obtained a West African School Certifivate and later completed his education at the Kaduna Polytechnic from 1972 to 1976. At the end of the course, he obtained the Higher Na tional Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. After doing his National Youth Service in Kwara State in 1976/77, he worked with the Kano State Oil and Allied Products Limited as Senior Supervisor (Production) in 1977, and was promoted Assistant Production Engineer in 1979 — the post he held until he went into politics. Honourable Ringim is an Associate Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. Among his hobbies are travelling and reading.
