Mr. Mohammed Shaaba Lafiagi was born on February 12, 1940 in Lafiagi, Kwara State. He is representing Edu Federal Constituency, of Kwara State. He holds a B.Sc. (Econs) Univeristy of Ibadan, M.Sc. (Agric Econs) and M.A. (Public Policy and Admin.) from University of Wiscon sin, USA. He is a member of the Nigerian In stitute of Management and the Nigerian In stitute of Personnel Management. He is also Director, Trade Bank and Nigerian Yeast and Alcohol Company as well as the Managing Director of Nigerian Sugar Company, Bacita. Alhaji Lafiagi is married and has 13 children. His hobbies are tennis, squash and badminton.
