LOMBIN, Prof. Ganyir

Professor Ganyir Lombin is a nominated member of the Constituent Assembly. He was born on March 8, 1944 in Langtang, his home town in Plateau State. After his primary education, Professor Lombin went to Government College, Kuru where he obtained his WASC in 1964. In 1966, he obtained his 'A' Levels from the Federal School of Arts and Science, Lagos and subsequently got admission to Ahrnadu Bello University, Zaria. He graduated in 1969. In 1972, he obtained a Master's degree. He finally got a Ph.D. in Soil Science in 1974 from the University of Ibadan. Still in quest of academic laurels, Professor Lombin proceeded to the University of Guelph, Canada for a post doctoral course in 1982. To diversify his knowledge, Professor Lombin enrolled for a Law degree course at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. In 1988, he obtained the LL.B (Hons) degree. He is now a Professor of Soil Science and married with three children.
