Alhaji Umaru Muazu represents Goronyo Federal Constituency of Sokoto State. He was born in 1952 in his home town, Goronyo. He attended Goronyo Primary School, from 1960 to 1966. From 1967 to 1968, he was at Nagarta College, Sokoto and Government Col lege, Bida, between 1969 and 1971. He was at the Police College, Ikeja from 1973 to 1974. In 1984, he went to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Alhaji Muazu is married with sixteen children and likes participating in community activities. He is a farmer.
