ONYEFURU, Godwin N. C.

(NPP) was born on March 24, 1942 at Ahani, Achi. He represents Oji River. He schooled at the Military School, Zaria, Royal Army Medical College, Aldershot, England, Army School of Dispensing and the Indian Military Academy. He is a member of Apothe caries of London and member, Asso- ciation of Pharmacy Technicians of Great Britain. In 1960, he became the first Black man to receive the Duke of Edinburgh Gold medal Award as an outstanding youth and was the first foreign student to be made the prefect of the Royal Army Medical College, England. He was a carrier soldier hav ing been commissioned in the Nigerian -Army in 1964, detained in 1970 after the war but released in 1974 and demo bilised. Hon. Onyefuru has travelled extensively in Europe, and his philoso phy of life is "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You." His hobby is photography and he is married with three children.
