A chartered Accountant by profes sion, he is a member of associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of England and Wales, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England and and Wales and a fellow of the Institute jf Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. Mr. Sotinwa has a remarkable expe rience in the field of Accoutancy hav ing worked in reputable organisations like the Peat Marwick Mitchall and Company, London and Pegg Robert son and Company, London both firms of chartered Accountants. He is the author of the Nigerian Tax Handbook 1978 and has produced a number of monthly articles in world tax reports of World Accounting re port published by the Financial Times of London. The Commissioner who hails from Remo Local Government area of Ogun State is the current chairman of the Lagos District Society of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. A christian of the Anglican denomi nation, he plays squash, golf and table tennis. Mr. Sotinwa, an old student of King's College Lagos is married with three children. Until his appointment, he was a senior partner with Peat Marwick Cassleton Elliot and Company.
