MHA PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY Malam Usumanu Alhassan Cigariwas bom in1931 to the then Sultan of Sokoto Alhassan. He bad an adult Educdtion Certificdte. Since kdvingschoolin 1958 he had been arepresentative to the then Sultan. He was amember of the NPC and was ekaed into theNorthern House of Assembly unopposed representing Sokoto Central in 1956 dnd 1961 under thepoliticdlpdrty In the sameyear 1961 he became Government Whip in the House and was later appointed Parliamentaty Secretary. He went into private business after the 1966 coup de'tat until his death on Monday the 24th of April, 2000
