He took up teaching oti st2and proved adedicated and committed counsellor and motivator to the young people in the school. He was involvedmmany college acthies that encouraued and motivated people to commit themselves in Community Service. John's deep involvementmStudent Union programmes and activism developed the spirit of nationalism and service which he demonstrated as ayoung teacher in the state. Afterashort period ofservice with State School System, the young John left for further studies a. the Enugu Slate University ofScience and Technology for acourse in Political Science. He eraduate BSc Hons in Political Science and collected anumber ofacademic and honorific awards lor his performance and contributions. On graduation, he took upjob as the Executive Assistant to the Governor ofEnugu State on Political and Local Government Mattersadiscipline he studied in the University. This was atrue test of his ability to apply academic theories and principles ol governance and leadership he studied. Ile distinguished himself in the new post and has made positive and constructive contributions on the administrative and political system ol the state and the country in general. Besides his enthusiasm and nationalism, he is clean and honest in his discharge of duties. He sees success in terms ofthe amount and quality ofservice given to the people. His advice to the Youths in Igboland is "Get United as the Bedrock of Igbo Progress and Development": and to the Leadership, he pleads. "You should be honest in your dealings with the people you serve and have a sense ofdirection". Hon. John Anichukwu has ahappy family which he enjoys in spite ofhis hectic administrative and political duties.
