Mr. G.E. Asogwa studied Library and Information Science at Eha Amufu College of Education (now Federal College of Education) Eha Amufu; Anambra State University of Science and Technology (ASUTECH), Enugu, (presently Enugu State University of Science and Technology); and later at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He taught some years in secondary schools before joining ESUT as an Assistant Librarian. He is a specialist in Cataloguing, Classification and Indexing Services. He is a Chartered Librarian and a member of the Nigerian Library Association. He was the Secretary to Nigeria Library Association, Enugu State chapter for two terms. He is one of the founding editors of "Nigerian Library Link", a professional journal of Library and Information Service, published by ESUT Library. Mr. Asogwa has served the University in several capacities prior to the present post. He doubles as Librarian and a Lecturer, having been lecturing in the Library and Information Science Department. He was the Co-Co-ordinator of Library and Information Science Programme in the department of Educational Foundation, Faculty of Education shortly before his recent appointment as the Ag. University Librarian. He has published a book, co-authored another and has also several publications in local and international journals outfits. He is happily married with children.
