He is one ofthe few top Igbo intellectuals who do not make noise and as such not many know him except those whoare deeply immersed in the profession such as his. Besides, living in Diaspora makes it a little difficult for many to hearhis name as a household name like those in other professions and resident in the country. He has attended so many conferences that one cannot mention names Professor Chukwu hasreceived toomany prizes, academic awards, andhonours, grants andhonorarium. Chukwu isontopof hiscareerin mathematics and should be looked upon asan extraordinary son ofAfrica and a doyen ofmathematics.
