Dr. Mrs. Tokunbo Dosumu, nee Awolowo, was born on February 20, 1948 in Ibadan, Oyo State. She hails from Ikenne, Ogun State and is a nominated member of the Constituent Assembly. She started her primary education at U.M.C. School, Ibadan, 1953—58 before going to St. Anne's School Ibadan, 1959—63. She enrolled as a student of Felixstowe College, Suffolk, England and graduated in 1966. Between 1966 and 1972, she attended the University of Bristol, London and qualified as a medical doctor. She later obtained a Masters degree in Occupational Medicine from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, 1978—79 and D.I.H. Certificate (England) 1979. Mrs. Dosumu is the Chairman, Management Board of Dideolu Specialist Hospital, Ikenne and Director of African Newspapers of Nigeria Limited. She is married to Dr. G.O. Dosumu, a medical practitioner, and they have a female child. Tokunbo Dosumu is the last child of the late elder statesman, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and her hobbies are reading and travelling.
