Minister inthe Ministry of Edu cation, was born in Ayan, Kano in 1930. He attended the Katsina Higher Teacher's College and also the Institute of Administration of the Ahmadu Bello University where he obtained a Diploma in Education Administration. He rose from a pupil teacher to becomeEducation Officer andChiefEducationOfficer/Control ler of Education. He was Commis sioner forForestry, Cooperatives and Commerce and Commissioner for Education in Kano State during the Military Administration. Alhaji Usman Hadejia is married and has six children.
