RILWANU, Hon. Alhaji Isah

Hon. Alhaji Isah Rilwanu was born on the 10th February 1951 at Tubali, Isa District of Sokoto State. He also hails from Isa in Isa Local Government Area. His parents are M. Rilwanu an Imam and Mallama Hadizatul Kubura. His father was engaged in Arabic teaching and Islamic Affairs. A muslim by religion, Alhaji Rilwanu is one of the seven children of his father, and the only child of the mother Mallama Kubura. Alhaji Isah Rilwanu got married to his wife Rakiyatu Isah in January 1974. He is a father of two children. Alhaji Rilwanu attended the following educa tional institutions: the Quranic School of his father, Isah Town Primary School (1960-1965); Maru Teacher's College (1966-70); and the Co operatives Institute (1977-78). He has the following educational and profes sional qualifications; Teacher's Grade II Cer tificate (1970); Certificate in Public Relations (1967); Certificate in Co-operative (1978). Alhaji Rilwanu was a primary school teacher in 1971. He became headmaster of the junior Primary School, Bargaja in 1972 from January to March. He was later the headmaster of the Senior Town Primary School, Isa from April 1972 to 1976. He also worked as a Public Relations Of ficer, Roads Nigeria Limited, Sokoto main of fice from August 1976 to April 1977. From April 1977 to March 1979 Alhaji Rilwanu was a Government Co-operative Officer. Later in 1979, he won a seat as a member of the House of Representatives on the ticket of the National Party of Nigeria. He represents Isa Constituency, Sokoto State. Alhajis Rilwanu takes interest in reading, basket-ball, swimming and travelling. He is also a farmer and a businessman.
