Dr. Hassan Lawal was born in 1952 and hails from Keffi in Plateau State. He is a nominated member of the Assembly. Dr. Lawal obtained an LL.B from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He went to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1978 and was called to the Bar in 1979. Between 1981 —1984, Dr. Hassan was at the University of Warwick, England where he obtained his LL.M and Ph.D. in Law. He is now a lecturer and Sub-Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Jos. He was a member of the Constitution Review Committee. Dr. Hassan is married and loves reading and playing table tennis.
