Mr. Bello Mahmud represents Tangaza Federal Constituency in the Assembly. He was born in his home town Gwadabawa, Sokoto State on February 24, 1954. After his primary education, he went to secondary school and passed the West African School Certificate (Division II) in 1971. In June 1975, he obtained Diploma in Law from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He later graduated from the same University with an LL.B (Hons) degree in 1978. Between October 1978 and July 1979, he was at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. He was called to the Bar in July, 1979. Mr. Mahmud who is now in private legal practice is married with two children. Reading and travelling are his hobbies.
