Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Mungadi : was born in Mungadi, Maiyama LGA of Kebbi State on 30th December, 1961. He attended Mungadi Primary School from 1968 – 1974, Government Secondary Kamba from 1977 – 1979. After his successful performance in the 1979 WASC, he proceeded to the then University of Sokoto and graduated in 1984 with B.Sc. Ed. Geography and M.Sc. Political Science in 2001.
After the mandatory National Youth Service from 1984 – 1985 in Benue state, he took up appointment with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in September 1985. Upon completion of Immigration training at the Nigerian Immigration Training School, Kano. He was posted to the Nigerian Immigration Command, Borno State where he served as Officer in-Charge Visa re-entry permit section, ECOWAS and African Affairs Section and Baga/Malam Fatori Border Patrol from 1986 – 1988.
From November 1988 to December 1993 he served in Sokoto State Immigration Command in various capacities ranging from Officer in-Charge, Administration Section, ECOWAS and African Affairs Section and Superintendent of Immigration, Passport Office.
In December 1993 he withdrew his services with the Nigeria Immigration Service and took up appointment with the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto as Senior Assistant Registrar and rose to the rank of Deputy Registrar. He served the University in various capacities ranging from Student Affairs Officer, University Admissions Officer, Deputy Registrar- General Administration and Council Affairs as well as Secretary, Postgraduate School.
In February 2006, he applied for one year leave of absence and served as Senior Special Assistant on University matters to the then Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Alh. Mohammad Adamu Aliero. He also served as Member/Secretary on the Kebbi State University implementation Committee. After the successful completion of the Committee`s assignment, he was appointed the pioneer Registrar of the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA) in May 2007, the position he held until February 2013 when he was appointed as the pioneer Registrar of the Federal University Birnin Kebbi by the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ibrahim Mungadi has served in various Committees within and outside the University. He was Secretary to the Kebbi State Government Delegation to Saudi Arabia for 2010 Hajj Exercise. He was Chairman of the Committee that investigated allegations of corruption against the then Chairman of Maiyama Local Government Council in 2008
