He attended St. Columba&#8217;s Catholic School, Nsu, from 1941-49; Dr. Lucas Secondary School, Breadfruit Parso nage, Lagos. 1955-58; University of Lagos. 1964-66; University of Nigeria, 1966-67 session and 1973 session. Nigerian Law School, 1973-74 session. He holds LL.B. degree of the Univer sity of Nigeria, Nsukka. Mr. Dureke was a teacher from 1950-54. He later joined the Federal Public Service in 1959 as a third class clerk. In March 1962, he was employed as a sales supervisor in the United African Com pany (Nigeria) Limited, Port Harcourt. Other posts he had held include :- Sales Manager, Michelin Tyres Nigeria Limited, Ijora Causeway. Lagos. Mem ber, Rural Electricity Corporation, Imo State, Member, Education Com mittee, Mbano Local Government Area; Member, Imo State Local Go vernment Reform Panel, Legal Adviser. Nigerian Peoples Party.
