He hails from Ezi Ogbaku in the Mbaitoli\/Ikeduru Local Government Area. Mr. Durueke had his primary and secondary education at St. Martin&#8217;s Ihiala, and Christ the King College, Onitsha, respectively. He obtained the Senior Cambridge School Certificate in 1941. He sub sequently worked as a civil servant from 1942-1975 in the then Eastern Nigerian, later East Central State and rose to the post of Principal Accoun tant before retiring voluntarily. Mr. Durueke has held the following posts: Chairman, Nigerian Television Autho rity (Zone B) March 1978- September 1979; Member, Board of Directors, N.T.A. March 1978 &#8211; September 1979; Member, Imo State Public Accounts Committee, July 1976 &#8211; September 1979.
