A. O."},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hon. A. 0. Nwankwo was born on July 25, 1943, at Abakaliki into a christian home. Hon. Nwankwo took after his father, the late Chief John Nwankwo, who was a member of the former Eastern House of Assembly. He attended Mary Knoll Secondary School between 1957 and 61. With a flair for the military, he was at Haile Selassie I Defence Academy, Ethiopia from 1962 \u2014 1965. At the end of the course, he was commissioned a lieutenant i the Nigerian Air Force. Hon. Nwankwo had a higher diploma in Economics (1965) and later attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka which awarded him a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Marketing in 1977. Before opting for politics, he was among others, General Manager, Lunor Press, Direc tor, Premier Brewries Limited, Onitsha and the Managing Director, Minerals (Nigeria) Limited. He married former Miss Ngozi Abaribe in 1969, and they have four children. Hon. Nwankwo has visited fifteen countries and his hobbies are reading and footballing. Hon.
