A christian by faith, Hon. Dominic attended the Yakoko Primary School from 1955 to 1958. He was a pupil at the Zing Senior Primary School between 1959 and 1961 and he also at tended Government Teacher&#8217;s College, Bazza between 1962 and 1964. Hon. Dominic Yakoko holds a diploma in farm mechanization as well as Grade III Teacher&#8217;s Certificate. He worked with the Ministry of Agriculture in Yola and, served as Councillor for the Zing Local Government Area from 1976 &#8211; 1979. Hon. Dominic Vontich Yakoko was elected into the House of Representatives on the ticket oi the Unity Party of Nigeria. Married to Regina in 1972 after a previous marriage, Hon. Dominic Yakoko has five children.
