His early life influences are the knowledge of Islamic religion and politics. He is a devout moslem. He attended an Arabic School in 1949, and an Adult Education School in 1970. Before he was elected as a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Garba worked as a professional blacksmith and a farmer. Hon. Garba married Hauwa&#8217;u in 1973 and they are blessed with two children He has travelled extensively to many West African countries such as Ghana, Dahomey, Sierra-Leone and Niger. His hobbies are swimming and horse riding.
