He was born in Nneato, Okigwe Imo State on March, 28, 1943. He obtained the West African School Certificate from the College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu in 1962; G.C.E. &#8216;A&#8217; Level from Federal School of Science, Lagos in 1964 and M.B.B.S. from Medical Academy, CRACOW, Poland in 1973. He qualified as a specialist surgeon by his election into the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland in 1981. Dr. Onwuka is a private medical practitioner and was a member of Imo State House of Assembly from October 1983 to December 1983. He is married with three children.
