He was born on November 15, 1942, In Talata Mafara his home town, in Sokoto State. He finished his primary education in 1957 and attended a clerical training course in 1959. He obtained his G.C.E. &#8216;0&#8217; Level in 1965. He later obtained a Diploma in Law in 1968. Mr. Mafara is a public administrator in the state Civil Service and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.
