He represents Ezeagu North Constituency in the State Legislature. After obtaining the Standard Six Certificate in 1941 he taught for some years and later worked with the G.B.O as a clerk before establishing his own business and was a Director of H.T.C. Limited. He was the Chairman of Ezeagu Local Government Council before his election to the House of Assembly.
