He hails from Abaji, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. He obtained the General Certificate of Education in 1970 and attended Official Reporters&#8217; Course from 1973 to 1976. He did an Advanced Writing Course at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Lagos. He also obtained a Diploma in Management Studies from Kaduna Polytechnic and Advanced Diploma in Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is a broadcaster and administrator. Alhaji Sidi-Ali is married with six children.
