On leaving school Mr Coker secured employment with the United Africa &#8211; Company in February 1952, served in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Sha gamu and Ile-Ife until May, 1952; he &#8211; was promoted at .Ile-Ife to manage ment staff in December 1961. Mr Coker attended several training courses in the United Kingdom in 1967, 1970 and 1978. He held a num ber of managerial positions in the U.A.C. until his appointment as a State Commissioner in 1979. He was seconded to Guinness (Nig) Limited in 1962, became District Sales Manager, Osogbo (1962-64); District Sales Manager, Lagos (1964-66); Zonal Sales Manager, Lagos (1966-67); Western Area Manager (1967-69); Public Rela tions Officer (1970-74); and Public Relations Manager (1974-79). A christian of the Anglican Denomination. Mr. Coker is married with eight children. .
