He was born in Abbi his home town in Bendel State on August 28, 1927. He attended Holy Cross Catholic School, Lagos (1937-1941); St. Paul&#8217;s Catholic School, Ebute-Metta, Lagos (1942-1944); Murumba College, lle-lfe (1945-1948) and University of Exeter, 1954\u201457 where he obtain ed B.A. (Hons) in Economics and a Diploma in Development Economics in 1983. He retired as a Permanent Secretary from the Bendel State Civil Service. Also he was a member of the Bendel State Local Government Service Commission, 1984-1988. He is married with six children.
