Government science secondary school, Hong 1978-1981, completed his secondary education at Government secondary school, Mangu plateau state in 1983. diploma prommame in business studies at city college of higher education, London. Returned to Nigeria to venture into business.Within a short while his business acumen and the knowledge obtained from school in London made him succeed beyond imagination. At the first meeting of the Shareholders of Highland Bank of Nigeria Plc, he was elected to the position of a Director of the Bank. This was followed by other Board appointments as Director, ALFA-MORA Merchandise Nigeria Limited, JIB Insurance Company Nigeria Limited, Dadingel-Baobab Nigeria Limited, International Business Trade Oriented Nigeria limited and Nexus Communications Limited. Senator Umar Jibrilla Bindo was made Executive Director Jimpex Energy service Limited and Chairman of Jimpex International and Pinnacle Automations Limited.  In the year 2011, he was elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria representing Adamawa North Senatorial District.
