She proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau State where she bagged a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts in 1986.<br \/>\nMrs. Swanta started her University Administration career in 1987 at the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue state and later joined the University of Abuja in 1989 as an Administrative Officer where she rose through the ranks.<br \/>\nShe has served in many units of the University including the vice-Chancellor\u2019s office; as a Faculty Officer, Faculty of Science and Agriculture; Establishment Officer in charge of junior staff; Administrative Secretary, Centre for Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement; Secretary, Postgraduate School, among others.<br \/>\nMrs. Swanta is a member of 3 professional bodies, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and the Association of University Public Administrators (ANUPA).
