He is married and blessed with three children. He schooled at All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha 1966-1972, and had his G.C.E, University of London, 1972. He bagged B.A Urban University, Rome 1973-1976; M.A Urban University, Rome, 1976-1980; Ph.D Gregorian University, Rome, 1980-1982; Fahigkeits Zeugnis Fur Deutsch, Eurocentrum, Cologne, Germany, 1991; L.L.B (Hons) University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 1987-1995.<br \/>\nWhile at the University of Nigeria, he has served as the Lecturer II, 1982-1984; Lecturer I, 1984-1986; Senior Lecturer, 1986-1997; Full Professor, 1997. He has also served as the the Provost of the Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, 2007-2010.<br \/>\nHe has conducted researches in foreign universities; University of Cologne, Germany from 1990 to 1991, sponsored by Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation Germany. International Christian University Tokyo, Japan, from 1993 to 1994, sponsored by Japan Foundation, Tokyo.
