He is an indigene of Zamfara State. Kabir Garba Marafa attended<br \/>\nKaduna Polytechnic where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Chemical Engineering. He is married.<\/p>\n<p>Kabir Garba Marafa was previously a commissioner in Zamfara State. He defected from the PDP- Peoples Democratic Party to the ANPP- All Nigerian Peoples Congress just before the 2011 elections and contested for the senatorial seat in Zamfara Central senatorial District.
