Joseph Benjamin started acting at age 12. He made his first screen debut appearance in a popular television program titled \u2018Tales by Moonlight\u2018 where he acted as a homeless child. His first movie was in 1993, and is titled Crossroads. Joseph has received numerous awards like  the \u201cAfrican Actor of the Year Award\u201d at the 2012 African Film Awards. For his role in Married but Single, he won the \u201cBest Lead Actor\u201d at the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards. Benjamin also won Best Actor in a lead role at the 2012 Nollywood Movie Awards.
