Osuji [PhD] is a Professor of Petroleum &#038; Environmental Chemistry, and former Head, Department of Pure and Industrial Chemistry, University of Port Harcourt (Nigeria). He holds an Honours (B.Sc) degree in Applied\/Industrial Chemistry (1986) and higher degrees in Geochemistry, Petroleum Engineering and Oil Pollution Studies. An oil-fingerprinting expert, he has over ninety (90) peer-reviewed articles published in some of the world\u2019s finest journals, including Nature and Science. In 2010, one of his works won an award in Green and Sustainable Chemistry (Switzerland), and in 2018, another two attracted a sum of twenty-five thousand United States Dollars ($25,000) in the highly coveted World Bank award for research excellence. To date, he has successfully trained twelve PhDs, most of whom are engaged in active Research and Development activities across the globe. He is the pioneer Science Editor of the Nigerian-Books-in-Print (first published in 1996), and Editor-in-Chief of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content (NOGIC) Research and Development Journal. In 2005, he was enlisted in World Who- is-Who in Science and Engineering. Professor Leo Osuji is also a Distinguished Inductee of Science Hall-of-Fame, University of Port Harcourt, Member Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE 131697-5).<br \/>\nHe was NUC Research Fellow, 2002-2006, and has been NUC accreditor to many Nigerian Universities. Professor Osuji is a seasoned environmental practitioner, registered with the National Registry of Environmental Professionals (NREP A1355], He has consulted for reputable firms, including the renowned London-based legal firm, Leigh Day &#038; Company. He has been External Assessor to many institutions, such as the University of Ibadan and the University of South Africa, to mention a few. Professor Osuji is one of the research coordinators at the World Bank Centre of Excellence for Oil Field Chemicals and the Institute of Petroleum Studies (IPS). He was Head of Research and Development (R &#038; D) at the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), from 2015 (Jan.)-2018 (July), where he also acted as General Manager, Planning, Research and Statistics from Jan-April 2018. He is the Chairman of Earthpro Group, one of the facilitators of the hydrocarbon pollution remediation project in Ogoniland.
