\nOtunba Nicholas Tofowomo was a-two term former commissioner of Transport in Ondo State. As a commissioner, he achieved the following:<\/p>\n
* He initiated the Free Shuttle Buses across 18 LGAs of Ondo State to assist Parents reduced the cost of taking their children to school.<\/p>\n
*He introduced and initiated a bill for the creation of Ondo State Traffic Management Agency which was meant to reduce the level of unemployment in Ondo State. But this was placed In View by Mimiko’s Administration due to the economic melt down that hit the State during previous administration. This initiative\/programme was officially handed over to the government of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu under the current APC administration for implementation. Government is continuum. It is left with the APC Government under Akeredolu to do the needful.<\/p>\n
*He initiated and submitted a master plan to the Federal Government for the creation of Alape Sea Port in the riverine area under Ilaje LGA of Ondo State and this was approved by the Federal Government before the end of his tenure as commissioner for Transport. This Project which is still in the pipeline till today was officially handed over to the APC- led Administration in Ondo State for follow up towards implementation. However, our findings have shown that ever since Tofowomo left, there is no one following up with the Federal Government. If elected as our next Senator in Ondo South, he will definitely see to the implementation of this project.<\/p>\n
*He initiated the installation of Traffic Lights and Bus Stops in Akure metropolis.<\/p>\n
*He transformed the office of the Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) under the Ministry of Transport by increasing their IGR from less down 250 thousand Naira only in a month to 1.5m in a month to support the state IGR. It shows that Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo can turn a desert land to a land of Milk and Honey.<\/p>\n
*He created a Data Base for the Okada riders in Ondo State to curb the high rate of crimes in Ondo State most especially Akure metropolis through the use of Okada by criminals. Don’t forget Security was part of the blueprints Otunba Nicholas Tofowomo has promised to legislate and advocate upon.<\/p>\n
*He reorganised the Driver Unions to end the incessant crises of driver unions across the 18 LGs of Ondo State. No wonder all the Driver Unions in the 6 LGAs of Ondo South gave their supports towards his election as next Senator of Ondo South in 2019 election by God’s grace.<\/p>\n
* He initiated, designed and executed the construction of Motor Parks for the commercial drivers in Akure through the ministry of Transport.<\/p>\n
*He initiated, designed and executed the construction of Mechanic Village in Ondo Road, Akure, through the ministry of Transport<\/p>\n
*He initiated, designed and executed the construction of Car Plant Popularly called Auto Mart for Car Dealers in Akure through the Ministry of Transport.<\/p>\n
* As a Leader who is kind and accountable to his people, he influenced employment for about 20 people within and outside his constituency to get work outside Nigeria, precisely in UK, US and Canada. This is apart from over 18 people in his constituency who through his involvement got Visas to travel abroad for one or two job\/business opportunities in the UK.<\/p>\n
* As a commissioner for Transport representing Ileoluji\/Okeigbo then, he established a charity organisation called: “Let’s Be Our Brother’s Helper” where minimum of over 50 people get help every year.
