He had his early education at Lamorde Elementary School from 1942-52 from where he proceeded to Yola Middle School the following year 1953 and completed in 1961. In 1962 he gained admission to Kaduna Tech nical Institute where he finished in , 1964 after obtaining his City and Guilds (Ordinary Diploma) in Civil ~0 Engineering. From 1970-72 he atten ded Kaduna Polytechnic for his Higher , Diploma in Civil, Building and Irriga tion Engineering. In 1973-74 he was in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for the certificate of Associateship in Civil Engineering.^ Alhaji Bello Tifi Lamorde as a pro fessional joined the Ministry of Works in former Northern Nigeria as an Assistant Technical Officer from 1962- 66: In 1967 he was made the Divisio nal Engineer resident at Gboko. He remained in that position up to September 1979 with the Gongola State Ministry of Works as the Divisio nal Engineer at Wukari when he was appointed a Commissioner. Alhaji Bello is married with six children.
