His father, Mr. Timothy Ogiemare Aloba Egbarevba was a trader. Mr. Abiodun Aloba&#8217;s early acceptabnce of Christianity also exposed him to western education with the late Archdeacon S. 0. Akinluyi gready influencing his earlylife. He attended St. Paul&#8217;s Primary Sch ool, Igbara-Oke and later Govern ment College, Ibadan, where he ob tained the Cambridge School Certifi cate and exemption from London Matriculation in 1943. With this he joined the United Africa Company (U.A.C). After two year of service with U.A.C, Mr. Aloba began his career in journalism starting with the West African Pilot, in 1946. He was involved with newspaper until 1975. In addition to his numerous articles, he published two books, &#8220;ZIK THE IMPERFECT&#8221; and &#8220;MY GREAT ORDEAL.&#8221; He is married and has five chidlren.
