He represents Idemili East Constituency. Hon. Ogbuka who has for long been a political activist was the President of the Students Union of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from 1961-64 and 1st National Vice Chairman of National Union of Nigerian Students (1963-64). He had his primary school education at C.M.S. Central Schools Amichi, Ihiala and Ashaka and later read at D.M.G.S. Onitsha from 1951-55 before he went to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to study politics and Government. He graduated with B.A. (Hons) in 1964 and later obtained LL.B. (Inter.) London. With a varied experience in teaching, he began as a Primary School teacher in 1956 and retired in 1979 as the Principal of Enugu- Ezike Secondary School. As a man with deep interest in inter African affairs, he has travelled to chad, Cameroun, Ghana and Sierra Leone. His hobbies include photography, farming and writing.
