Dr. Fayemi was officially declared as the winner of the Governorship election in Ekiti state by the Independent National Electoral Commission on 15th, July 2018. He won by 19,345 votes against the Peoples Democratic Party&#8217;s Kolapo Olusola Eleka who was second.
