However, his tenure came to an end when he was impeached on October 16, 2006. In spite of that setback, Mr Fayose contested again in the 2014 gubernatorial elections and won. He was inaugurated as Governor of Ekiti State on October 16, 2014. He is the only Nigerian to defeat an incumbent two times. Mr Fayose is a philanthropist and the initiator of &#8216;Stomach Infrastructure&#8217; programme in Ekiti State. He is popularly known for being fearless and very outspoken to matters and issues concerning Nigeria.
