Prior tothis appointment, hehad had over 25years of impeccable practice in Insurance Industry asa broker, underwriter and regulation oflnsurance Practice in Nigeria. He was thepioneer General Manager and ChiefExecutive OHicer ofAfrican Development Insurance Company before he moved to become the Managing Director\/CEO ofAfrican Prudential Insurance Co. Lagos for a period often years. lie is a man whose achievements speak volumes. His contribution to the Insurance industry has helped the growth oflnsurance business in Nigeria. These contributions drew theattention ofthe President ofthe Federal Republic of Nigeria. President Olusegun Obasanjo whoappointed himtheDeputy Commissioner for Insurance (Technical) on 17″‘ September. 2000. He held the office for four years until hewas appointed to thecurrent post. Membership of Professional Bodies \u2022 Associate ofthe Chartered Insurance Institute of London Fellow, ofthe Chartered Insurance Institute of London \u2022 Member ofthe Council ofthe Nigeria Insurers Association (NIA) – the highest ruling body ofthe Nigerian Insurance Companies. He attended the following schools: \u2022 St Joseph’s Primary School, Kaduna in 1961 St Joseph’s Secondary’ School,Awka- Etiti in 1966 \u2022 Christ the Kings College, Onitsha for Higher School Certificate ( HSC) 1971 University of Nigeria,Nsukka LLBHons, 1984 Niueria Law School in Lagos. 1988 was called to the Bar. Ten years later, he proceeded to the Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye for Master in Science (MSc) in Industrialization and Technology. He was once i lecturer and examiner at the Enugu State University ofScience and Technology and Institute ofManagement and Technology.
