Minister of Defence, was born on February 10, 1932 at Ilorin Kwara State. A veteran teacher be fore studying Law, Alhaji Oniyangi had his Diploma in Education from Stranmills Teachers College, Belfast Northern Ireland in 1963. He holds an LL.B. degree of the Ahmadu Bello University and was called to the Bar in 1970. He was the chairman, Kwara State Rural Electrificity Board from 1975 to 1977 and Chairman. Kwara State Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1978 to 1979. He is married and has six children. Before his appointment, he was Minister for Communications.
