Mr Umaru Farouk Rugga, an elected member, represents Bagudo Federal Consti tuency, Sokoto State. He was born in Kaoje, Sokoto State in 1948. He attended Elementary School, Kaoje, 1955—58; Senior Primary School, Birnin Kebbi, 1959—61; Government Secondary School, Birnin Kebbi, 1962-66 and the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained a Diploma in Law in 1973 and LL.B (Hons) in 1983. He is a civil servant and is married with twelve children. His hobbies are hockey and reading.
