What is the BLERF Databank?

The Biographical Legacy and Research Foundation Databank is a growing record of Nigerians whose lives and work have shaped the country.

How are biographies selected?

Published entries are reviewed by the editorial board against available sources. The databank is updated as new information is received and verified.

How can I find a biography?

Use the search box to look up a name, or browse by letter, profession, state of origin, or year of birth.

Can I submit a biography or correction?

Yes. Use the Submit Biography page to nominate a life or provide additional information. You may also send an updated CV or correction to [email protected].

How long does a submission review take?

The editorial board normally reviews completed submissions within seven working days.

Can an existing entry be updated?

Yes. Entries may be amended when reliable new information becomes available.

How can I support the archive?

Donations help fund research, verification, digitisation, and long-term public access. Paystack donations start at ₦25,000, with the option to contribute a larger amount.
