He also worked on the Lagos State Revenue Bond (2001) and Debt issuance program (2008); Mergers & Acquisition transactions involving companies such as Total Nigeria Plc and Elf Petroleum Nigeria Ltd, Unipetrol and Agip, FCMB and Cooperative Development Bank, UNTL and Nichemtex, Universe Reinsurance and Sterling Assurance amongst others; Major Privatization (buy and sell-side) transactions such as NITEL, NAHCO, Afribank, Unipetrol (now Oando), National Oil (now Conoil), Benue Cement Company (now Dangote Cement) etc; Complex Corporate Restructuring mandates for Guinness Nigeria Plc, CFAO Nigeria Plc, BHN Plc, Dumez among others; and, Project Finance track include a proposed 5-star medical facility in Abuja, a mixed use real estate development project comprising of a shopping mall, office and residential accommodation as well as a refinery project in the Niger Delta. He is an Associate of the Certified Pension Institute, member Chartered Institute of Bankers, Director of Treasury, Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (2006-2008) and continues to serve on several committees inaugurated by the Securities and Exchange Commission to facilitate the development of the Nigerian Capital Markets. Prior to establishing Quest Advisory Services Limited in January 2009, Bayo had risen to the position of Chief Executive Officer at FCMB Capital Markets Limited. Quest, in its 5-year existence, has provided a range of advisory services to numerous companies including Guinness Nigeria Plc, Computer Warehouse Group, GTHomes Limited and GTB Asset Management Limited (formerly subsidiaries of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc), the Tolaram Group of Companies and IEI Assets Limited. Quest has also provided capacity building solutions to entities such as Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Nigerian Capital Markets Institute, Radix Capital Partners Limited, Access Bank Plc, Skye Bank Plc among others. In addition to running Quest, Bayo teaches at the Lagos Business School, and has taught Finance on the MBA, Executive MBA, and Senior Management Programs. He also teaches Strategic Planning at the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan African University and supports its various initiatives such as the Experts-in-Residence program that mentors SMEs. Bayo is the Chairman of the Investment Committee of ARM’s Discovery and Aggressive Growth Funds.
