Oyo was appointed the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria in July 2007.[5][6] Ojo was not a member of any gender-based journalism organisations. She was of the view that one’s professional actions and professional conduct would speak for the person regardless of whether the person is a male or a female. She always addresses herself as a ‘pressman’.
