PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY Alhaji Ibrahim Wazirin Gumelwas born in 1911 in Gagarawa, Gumelof the old Kano Province. He went to Kano Provincial Elementary School and Kano Middle School finishing in 1924. He also attended a Local Government Course in the United Kingdom in 1949. He worked variously as a Prison Scribe, Agricultural Assistant Supervisor of NA.. Agricultural Department of GumelEmirate and was turbaned the Wazirin Gumelin 1942. In politics, he was highly respected as a born leader and able representative. Little wonder he was elected unopposed into the Northern House of Assembly first in 1956s and again in 1961 under the popularNorthem People Congress NPC. He was later appointed Parliamentary Secretary. He was also Member, Government Representative, Groundnut Marketing BoardandBoardof Directors, Kaduna Textiles. Alhaji Ibrahim Wazirin Gumel, was a recipientof the Coronation Medal.
