ADERIBIGBE, Mr Joshua

ATTORNEY-GENERAL AND COM MISSIONER FOR JUSTICE Born in Owo on June 30, 1936 to Mr Joshua Aderibigbe (deceased) and Mrs Rachael Aderibigbe, Mr. Joseph Kayode Aderibigbe had his early edu cation at the Government School, Owo and laterproceeded to the C.M.S. Grammar School, Offa in KwaraState, where he completed his secondary education in December 1954. For a brief period after his secon dary education, Mr. Aderibigbe wor ked as a Clerk with the former Western Region Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 1955. Because of his interest in the legal profession, Mr Aderibigbe went to the United Kingdom and studied at both the Gibson and Weldon College of Law and the Council of Legal Education, all in London. He was subsequently called to the English Bar at the Lincoln's Inn in July 1966, and the following year, he was enrolled in Lagos as a Barrister-at- Lawof the Supreme Court. Mr Aderibigbe has functioned in many public offices before his present appointment as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State. He was the Litigation Officer in the Federal Ministry of Communications' Lagos, between 1967 and 1969; a State Counsel, Ministry of Justice, Kano, between 1970 and 1972 and a Magistrate from 1972to 1974. From 1975 to 1976, he was also a Magistrate in the former Western State of Nigeria, and was promoted a Chief Magistrate at the inception of Ondo State of Nigeria, and was promoted a Chief Magistrate at the inception of Ondo State in 1976, a post in which he functioned until recently. Mr Aderibigbe who is married with children, loves reading, farming and hunting as leisure engagements.
