Alhaji Aliyu Bichi was born on 12th of August 1951 at Bichi in Kano State. His father, Yahama Bichi, a farmer, had nine children. Alhaji Bichi started his early school career in Bichi Chiranci Primary School in 1959 and later he attended the Kano Teacher Training College from 1966- 1971. Alhaji Bichi married former Miss Zainab A. Yahaya on the 3rd of May 1977, they now have two sons and one daughter. Honourable Bichi has travelled to the Niger Republic. His hobbies include football and films. Honourable Aliyu Bichi is a member of the Peoples' Redemption Party and represents Bichi Constituency in Kano State in the House of Representatives.
